Bridge Haven's 9th Annual BackStoppers Charity Annual Auction

September 16, 2018

Starting time 1:00pm, Location St. Louis Bridge Center

In eight years, Bridge Haven’s charity game to benefit BackStoppers has raised over $65,000. This year the game will be held at the St. Louis Bridge Center in order to accommodate the increased number of Pros who wish to donate their time for this worthy cause.

The format remains the same. Pros, i.e. players with 2,000+ ACBL Master Points, agree to be auctioned off to the highest bidder, who then becomes their partner for the September 16th game. The dollar amount of the final bid for each Pro is then donated to BackStoppers. All the Pros will be listed on the website as soon as the list is finalized.

If you would like to participate as a Pro, remember a Pro has 2000 or more ACBL Master Points, please notify Chuck Starovasnik or Barbara Reid. You can email them at starovasnik@sbcglobal.net or they can be reached by phone at (Chuck - 618-530-4300, Barbara - 314-374-6027, or home - 314-822-9454). Additionally you can contact Mike Arnheim at 314-583-1745. Mike will again be the director for this game.

The bidding process is as follows: a bidding poster will be placed on the wall at both the St. Louis Bridge Center and at Bridge Haven listing the names of all the Pros. You must contact Chuck Starovasik or Barbara Reid via email at starovasnik@sbcglobal.net, or call Chuck at 618-530-4300 or Barbara at 314-374-6027. Their home number is 314-822-8454. We will also keep the website updated with bids until the start of the regional tournament. Anyone can bid on any Pro. Bidding starts July 15, 2018. They will update the bid amounts daily at both locations and only Barbara or Chuck can update a bid. Bidding will continue at the Regional and end promptly at 10am August 19, 2018.

We wish to thank all of the Pros and players for volunteering which allows us to raise these funds for BackStoppers
